Do you know what is Maltodextrin?

Maltodextrin is a carbohydrate derived from starch, commonly corn, rice, potato, or wheat. It is produced through partial hydrolysis of starch, breaking it down into shorter chains of glucose molecules. Maltodextrin is a white powder with a neutral taste and is often used as a thickener, filler, or preservative in processed foods. Due to its quick digestion and ability to quickly raise blood sugar levels, it is sometimes included in sports drinks and energy supplements to provide a rapid source of energy. Keep in mind that excessive consumption of maltodextrin may not be suitable for individuals with certain dietary restrictions or conditions.
