How to make Ancient Herbal Sitopladi powder

Sitopaladi Churna is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal powder used for respiratory health. It is commonly employed for conditions such as cough, cold, and respiratory congestion. Here is a basic recipe to make Sitopaladi Churna at home:

Ingredients:

  1. 100 grams Sitopaladi (Rock Candy Powder)
  2. 25 grams Vamshalochana (Bamboo Manna)
  3. 10 grams Pippali (Long Pepper)
  4. 5 grams Elaichi (Cardamom)
  5. 5 grams Twak (Cinnamon)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • If the Sitopaladi (Rock Candy) is in crystal form, grind it into a fine powder using a mortar and pestle or a grinder.
    • Crush the Vamshalochana (Bamboo Manna) into a fine powder.
    • Grind Pippali (Long Pepper), Elaichi (Cardamom), and Twak (Cinnamon) into a fine powder.
  2. Combine the Powders:
    • Mix all the powdered ingredients thoroughly in a clean, dry bowl. Ensure an even distribution of each component for a well-balanced formulation.
  3. Sieve the Mixture:
    • If you desire a smoother texture, you can sieve the mixture to remove any coarse particles, obtaining a finer powder.
  4. Store in an Airtight Container:
    • Transfer the final mixture into an airtight container, preferably glass or food-grade plastic, to preserve its freshness and potency.

Usage:

  • It's advisable to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized guidance on dosage and duration.
  • Dosage- 2-6 gm with honey(Morning-Evening)

Note:

  • Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional or Ayurvedic practitioner before incorporating any herbal remedies into your routine, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions or are taking medications.

Making Sitopaladi Churna at home allows you to ensure the quality and authenticity of the ingredients used, but professional guidance is essential for safe and effective usage.
