  2. Sleeping on the Left Side – Vamakukshi:In Ayurveda, sleeping on the left side is considered conducive to good digestion. This position is believed to promote the free flow of energy, or "prana," and helps the body in efficiently processing food through the digestive system.
  3. Stimulating the Spleen:The spleen, an organ associated with digestion in Ayurveda, is positioned on the left side of the body. Sleeping on the left side is believed to enhance the spleen's function, aiding in the processing of nutrients and the elimination of waste.
  4. Avoiding Right-Side Sleeping:Ayurvedic principles caution against sleeping on the right side after a meal. This position is thought to hinder the natural flow of energy and digestion, potentially leading to discomfort and sluggish digestion.

Incorporating Gentle Movement – Pavanamuktasana:Before settling into a specific sleeping position, Ayurveda recommends gentle post-meal activities like a short walk or the practice of "Pavanamuktasana," a yoga pose that involves bringing the knees to the chest. These activities are thought to aid in the elimination of excess gas and promote digestion.
